McKim Family Story

Becoming foster parents to a set of three-year-old twin boys, the McKims also rallied around June, the boys' biological mother. Though the original goal was reunification, June decided that asking the McKims to adopt the boys was the best choice. June and her family are still very much a part of the boys' lives and will continue to be even after the adoption is finalized.

Isaiah spent much of his youth in foster care, where he struggled academically. When he was adopted, he discovered stability and academic support at home, and began enjoying his education. In high school, he joined our YES program, which helps youth in foster care navigate post-secondary education and is now pursuing his college degree.
